Mark Mellett is a painter who lives in the town of Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  He works in oils.  

Mark's work focuses primarily on three genres: archetypal animal paintings, paintings of circus performers, musicians and itinerant peoples and still life compositions.  His work Running Horse and Woman Watching Flying Trapeze have earned grand prize and best in show awards.  The Philadelphia Tri-State Artists Equity Association held a solo show of Mark's work at the Fireside Gallery in Devon, Pennsylvania, in 2014.

Mark attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, studying painting and sculpting.  Prior to PAFA, Mark received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in classical literature, with a minor concentration in painting.

Mark's work Leaping Deer was selected for the juried exhibition  Drawn from Nature at the James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. The show runs from April 7th through April 23rd.

Mark's work Woman with Child Watching Flying Trapeze was selected for the Main Line Art Center's Spring Gala exhibition, in Haverford, running from April 30th through June 3rd.

Mark's work Running Bear was selected for the GoggleWork's Juried Exhibition in Reading, PA, that runs from April 29th through June 4th.
